Behind My Hopes

Imetungwa naMichael Southcott, 8 Agosti 2017, 08:26 asubuhi

The following is a story sent to me by Francis Kipo, a past participant at EQWIP HUBs Tamale

BEHIND MY HOPE
I was hopeless and dismayed
with the fear of the unemployment
Cankerworm that has eaten deep into my flesh
Discouraged and pusillanimous I felt,
In dilemma I took a long walk
Asking myself, when?, how?
And through whom will I get a job?

As I walked down the long road of unemployment
I met two roads diverged in a yellow wood
But sorry I just could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
On the Right road was EQWIP HUBS
On the Left was NOT EQWIP HUBS

I looked down the left one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Even though it was used frequently
Then took the other, EQWIP HUBS was less travelled by
But having perhaps the better claim
AND that road made the difference
On that road of eqwip hubs,
I was blessed with knowledge,
Foundational, employability
And entrepreneurship training
On that road of eqwip hubs, even networks, I got
On that road, I was blessed with an innovation fund
My dreams and hopes were restored
My prayers were answered
And the darkest part of my life
Was filled with light
However, can you tell me the reason why
I should not proclaim and exalt the name
Of eqwip hubs?
A day will come in every life,
When appreciation is rendered
Because I believe that “ feeling gratitude and not
Expressing it is like wrapping a present and not
Presenting it”
That is why today I personify
You Eqwip hubs in gratitude
You have been there from the very start,
Took care of me, gave me your heart.
Thank you so much, for believing in me,
You gave me everything, the sky and the sea.
Thank you for teaching me how to live,
Thank you so much for being my light,
Because of you, my future is bright.
How could I ever thank you enough?
You stood by me, when times were real rough.
Comfort I felt, I truly did need,
I appreciate, your very kind deed.
How could I ever thank you enough,
You listened to me, I talked about stuff.
From your heart, you gave me advice,
Important to me, beyond any price.
How could I ever thank you enough?
You molded me, now I am tough.
Hope to make you very proud,
Just want to thank you sincerely and loud.
A wonderful teacher, understood me so well,
Helped me up, whenever I fell.
Even when I made a big mistake,
You said we learn, the more we make.
Your smile has always been very kind,
You challenged me to expand my mind.
Obstacles I faced, in me you believe,
You always told me, I could achieve.
When I needed help, you took the time,
You never gave up, no matter the climb.
Thank you so much, for showing me the way,
I simply don't know, how I could repay
I appreciate everything that you do,
Very helpful and thoughtful too.
From the beginning, you've been there for me,
When I was down, you were strong like a tree.
You offer so much, a heart that is kind,
Thinking to help others, in your beautiful mind.
Your qualities combined, are extremely rare,
You wake up each morning, with a smile and care.
Everything you do, I respect and praise,
You're a wonderful organization, you always amaze.
Wish to say thank you, deep in my heart,
For so many lives, you're a big part.
God bless eqwip hubs, God bless Canada, God bless Ghana.
My name still remains FRANCIS KIPO FROM GHANA-TAMALE
THANK YOU
